Fellow CFCL Owners:
Things are starting to move into baseball mode. The holidays are over providing January and February as the long gateway to a new baseball season (Federal Banking Holidays not withstanding).
Winter Waivers begin in four days (GET YOUR CUTS IN!) and in an effort to make things even more entertaining, David and I (really a lot of David and a little of me) are tweaking . . . enhancing . . . perking up, if you will, the CFCL Website.
We would like to add a section of owner profiles with a mini-bio and team logo for each team.
Shortly I will be sending you an e-mail with an attached questionnaire/profile we would like you to fill out. Participation is purely voluntary, but the more that respond, the more fun it will be.
Once you receive the e-mail, if you have any questions, please let me know.

Just wanted to update all y'all on the Owner Profiles. I e-mailed the questionnaire out to you late last night and when I awoke this morning and checked my mailbox there were two responses already.
Nick (The Quick) responded first followed closely by Kenn. I have to say both offered insightful and amusing responses. This is going to be a great addition to our webpage.
Happily awaiting more . . .

As for the logos, Nick and I have started to collaborate on mine. For those of you that don't know, Nick is a genius! I'm just an owner with a dream, and Nick has begun making that dream turn into an image. In one short attempt I would guess that we are about 80% of the way there.
Start looking to put some ideas/images together (to make Nick's job easier).
And those that haven't responded to the Profile yet, see if you can sneak it in during commercial breaks.

We have another entry. The DoorMatts have stepped up with their profile. Seven owners in, five owners (and one Owner Advisor, Paul Mahlan from the Lambchops front office) still waiting to walk through the door.

Mahalo Actually, it's got more to do with being stuck at the office until 11:00 PM each night for the past week, but your point is well taken. It's so much easier to write about rules than it is to be "creative". Rest easy, though, Rich now has my profile in hand... |

David beat me to it, but I now happily announce that we are at 2/3 capacity. I have eight profiles in hand and one owner (Teddy) who says he will work on his once he get inebriated enough.

Matt you lost ALL sympathy by using the phrase ANNUAL Spring Training Retreat. Looks like you'll have to look forward to scouting Corey's brother.
Actually I don't want to spoil the surprise. David has started working on a mock up of the Profile Page and it looks pretty sweet.
As for sharing the profiles, I don't want to do that as it could sway the answers from Paul, Eric, Paul (Eric's dude and former CFCL owner), Teddy and Jason.
I had 90% of mine finished before the profiles started rolling in. By looking at them I ended up not answering a couple of questions because I couldn't think of anything in the same league as the rest of you. I don't want to influence the other owners. We'll just wait until we get all the profiles in from the owners that say they are participating.

There is more progress to announce. The Splintered One has submitted his profile!! So that means that 3/4 of the league has responded (or are you a 1/4 glass empty kind of guy?)
Any way, nine owners in, waiting on three more.
I checked in with Nick who has reported progress on logos not only for Dem Rebels, but also the Bulls and Picts.
Keep it up and we can put some pressure on David to get the page posted sooner rather than later and really put a kink into his draft prep.

Good morning, Rich, you'll be happy to know that I'm forgoing my ASTR in favor of a Las Vegas trip instead. So do I get some sympathy now? Also, is there any progress with the three remaining holdouts yet? Still can't wait to see them. BTW, I wanted to change my favorite movies list again. This time I want to drop Spice World and add The Devil's Rejects instead .... Ah ha, I had you going, huh? ;D Take care dude. Mahalo Matt |

Thanks for asking, Matt. We are still awaiting the profiles of Eric (and his GM Paul Mahlan), Paul Z. and Jason.
No word from any of them if they are almost done or have not desire to do it. I will say this, progress is being made (not as quickly as our salacious eyes would like perhaps) on the Owner Profile Page and LOGOS by our very talented Nick.
Once David gets some time in his life (and perhaps deviates from Draft Prep) we will see the profiles posted to the CFCL Website.
