Just wanted to start a thread here to open things up to league members who might want to express their opinions on the two recent decisions by the Executive Committee regarding the failed free agent acquisition of Daniel Hudson by the Revenge and the retrofitted trade between the Ruffins and Rebels to avoid a zero stats situation that could have affected our title standings.
No "government elected by the people" should be allowed to operate in a vacuum, so please feel free to praise the decisions, vent your frustrations about them, or totally take the EC to the whipping shed if you please. No right or wrong answers. No personal attacks. Just some open dialogue that will hopefully allow us to continue to learn and grow as a league.

As one of the offending parties, I'd like to weigh in.
First off, I think the decisions made were more than fair. My roster was clearly in violation of the constitution. The move to take away my acquisition of Hudson made the most sense to me. I was willing to take the loss of points as well, though not at a cost to those in the running for a title. More than anything, I was/am embarrassed by the whole thing. I've seen that yellow box atop my roster many times and have always been quick to remedy whatever was needed. Be it haste or carelessness, I dropped the ball and was glad to do whatever was needed. I'm certain I won't see it happen again.
In defense of our EC, I continue to be impressed by the way this league is run so seamlessly (or so it appears!). With the intricate rules governing the CFCL, I would think the job of running it would be very tiresome at times. I would expect that there be a few mistakes that may slip past the watchful eyes of our EC, as the moves become mind numbing after time! I've been commissioner of my other league for 17 seasons and completely understand the commitment that goes along with it. I miss moves from time to time and always get a quick response from a concerned owner (just as Kenn did in this case). I was pleased and impressed with the professional manner in which this issue was dealt with.
A tip of the hat to Rich, Michael, and David...a tighter ship couldn't be run...
