Did anyone catch the MLB channel's rebroadcast of the May 6, 1998 game - Cubs vs. Astros? If you didn't, it will be on again tomorrow (2/9/09) at 7am.

My question is this. If you did watch it, did your arm hurt as much as mine did everytime he threw a curve?

I still can't believe I missed going to this game by a few minutes. Nothing particularly pressing was going on at the office that day and with the weather rather drizzly a few guys decided to take the afternoon off and try to get tickets to that day's game. They stopped by my desk to see if I wanted to join them, but I had stepped away so they left without me (they could at least have left a note!).

Of course, I didn't learn my lesson. Last year when Steve offered me his Miller Park tickets for a Cub/Astro game I turned him down because I had to work. The deeper Zambrano took his no-hitter, the harder I kicked myself.

Possibly two of the greatest Cub pitching performances of my adult life and I just missed seeing both of them in person.
