Hey Rich,
We may not see eye to eye (no wandering eyes jokes, please!) on everything "CFCL", but I have to give you credit and major league ups for the MD's of late. Awesome and inspired work, excellent writing and just plain fun! Actually, really fun to read, in spite of my own far to frequent mention!
And, on a day of incredible highs and deep despairing lows, I needed it. I woke up this morning to find myself in solidly in 4th place and started to dream of another title run. Unfortunately, this euphoric feeling was fleeting once again, as I find later that speculative play .02 Closer-in-waiting has been DFA'd (like I didn't see that coming!) and my budding .10 Staff Ace has officially torn his ACL and there is a possibility of him being DL'd for the duration of his Stones contract! Ugh! Not to mention they both play for my hometown favorites!
I needed a little humor. So thank Rich.
And now I return you all to my previously scheduled whining, crying and public displays of deep self-pity!

Well, at least something positive came out of yesterday's game. I'm sorry Steve but I'm still pissed off. I had front row seats to that debacle. Section 19 Row C Seat 6 I was 3 rows behind home plate and had a better view than that dang umpire who called Fukudome out. His strike zone was all over the place too.
Pinella is morphing into Dusty Baker day by day. Why the &*!(+@ he takes out a better defender to keep Soriano in the game is beyond me. Why does Ronnie Cedeno rot on the bench despite being a far superior defender and hitter than Theriot? We haven't had someone make more baserunning outs since Moises Alou. I'm also convinced that Cedeno would have gotten an out on the grounder up the middle that Theriot barely managed to keep from going into the outfield. And finally, there's no doubt in my mind who should be the closer and who should be pitching in the 6-7th inning. Mahalo
Matt
PS. It is kinda amazing Yovanni could finish the inning without an ACL though.

Hey Steve - Thanks for the kind words! It's always nice to know the MD is serving its purpose. I'll try to work you into more issues in the coming months. Shouldn't be too hard considering your meteoric rise to third despite all your Brewer injuries.
I didn't realize Gallardo was injured. I saw the collision, figured he was out for the year and then saw him jump up and finish the inning.
Thanks again for the bon mots. The pressure's on to keep the entertainment high.
