Good afternoon Fellas,
I just got an e-mail from Steve Moyer from Baseball Info Solutions. He's looking for someone to chart games at Wrigley Field this year. I talked to him at Shandler's Fantasy Baseball Symposium back in November in Phoenix and told him I'd be interested in doing either team. I'd be up for it except there's no way I could make 20-30 trades for the days I have to work. So what I was thinking was that some of you guys might be willing to step in for the days that I have to work at the firehouse.
I don't remember exactly what he was looking for, but I think you have to keep track of every pitch (type, location, B/S) and record where every ball gets hit to in addition to all the usual scorecard stuff. The pay is basically zero but you would get to sit in the media room at the park with all the other beat writers and the like. On my last tour of the ballpark, I do remember seeing a seat reserved for BIS so he's legit.
I know you guys with families are really crunched for time but I thought you might like going to some games this year for free (except for parking, hot dogs, Old Style, etc). Send me an e-mail if you're interested. As soon as I hear back from Steve, I'll fill you in on the details. See you guys soon. Mahalo
Matt

Steve is a great guy. He was my boss for a few years at STATS and I did some work for him for B.I.S. a couple of years ago. He only had me taping games off t.v. and mailing them to him, so your job is a step up. Enjoy your time in the press box, and congrats on the opportunity!
