Did anyone happen to notice anything strange during one of the Super Bowl commercials?
I take you to the ESPN commercial that says basically you can have ESPN hooked up to your braces there is so much technology out there.
During the commercial a guy is walking around the city and sports scenes and players are all around him playing out their sport. At one point a Cub (I think it's Juan Pierre) gets down in a crouch as if he's leading off of a base. As the commercial dude passes by Pierre takes off as if stealing a base.
Problem is he takes off to his left. Most runners have to take off to their right in order to advance to the next base.
Last year we thought we had problems when Dusty couldn't get his players to hit the cutoff man. Now he's got them running in reverse.
Gonna be a long season.

Figures they'd use the Cubs as a symbol of ineptitude. Rather fitting.
Gotta love my boy Juan. Anybody wanna trade for the Cubs' new CF?

Anyone see who the Reds picked up recently?
Tuffy Rhodes!
I'm curious, but who was the CFCL owner of Tuffy when he hit those three home runs for the Cubbies 100 years ago?

That makes sense. Goetz was notorious for grabbing up Cubs, especially in his minor league system.
Of course now I think I have taken the lead on acquiring Cub players (especially since Eric can't bid on Sosa anymore). That could explain the lower level Notions Department of standings I've locked down over the past decade.
