It has been reported that the Cubs have signed Marquis Grissom to a minor league deal (along with 31 y/o Augie Ojeda).
While I like the idea of adding Grissom to the team for depth and experience (as long as he's healthy) I hate the idea that it gives Dusty a reason not to play the (hopefully) promising Murton.
I think Hendry has done a good job of adding players that we need to compete. What we need now is a manager who will actually use the players properly.

Yes it is a new avatar (at least for my profile - it's been in the selection list for a while). Nothing says nostalgia like the 1945 Cubs Logo. I couldn't use the other '45 logo, what's with the yellow?
I was wondering if you would notice the signature. That episode was on last night and I found his comment to be hilarious!

Hey, Wow, it's like you were reading my mind Rich. I'd been meaning to post a message bemoaning the fate of Mr Murton. Also did we remember to congratulate Steve on a great football season? We really should since he head coached his Seattle Seahawks to the #1 seed in the NFC. Well done, Steve!

But ahh, I can't really take all the credit for the effort. The men, ahh they played real hard this season and ahh we were real successful in achieving our goals, but ahh its one game at a time from hereon out and ahh ya know we're only as strong as our weakest link. So I can't really take credit for the ahh success the team enjoyed so far ahh this season and I gotta give credit where credit is due ahh to ahh you know the Big guys upfront, the unsung guys with the ahh names no one but their ahh teammates and loved ones know, you know.
The young kid that ahh carried us was due and so was the other guy. They just pulled us up by our bootstraps so many times, that ahh you know we were able to go out there week to week. Hey ya know it ain't getting no easier after today. All the big dogs are left in the fight, but its the fight in the dog that will judge ahh a man's leg (ahh) acy!
So ahh unless dare are any more questions, ahh I am going to go into the shower be with the ahh guys.
