Since none of you Cubs fans have the Stones to respond, I will add that the Cubs still suck! Going for the Sweep today!

I would be hiding too! As is evidenced by all of the replies to my earlier post, there is just nothing worth saying if you are a Cub fan! Embarassing.
Oh before you go posting the ridiculous excuses, let me do it for you:
Cubs Fan: Our best pitcher is hurt!
Me: So is ours!
Cubs Fan: Our closer is out.
Me: We traded our closer and just went out and created another one!
Cubs Fan: We have several key players injured so you can't expect us to keep scraping together a lineup.
Me: Most of your scrubs get paid more than our starters and your strength was supposed to be your bench!
Cubs Fan: Our manager is clueless!
Me: Not sure how to dispute that!
Cubs Fan: Its only May, we'll see in September where the Brewers are and compare it to the Cubs record.
Me: Well if that works for you, its OK with me. We know we won't make the playoffs, but you live in a dream that you will. The Cubs still suck!
Cubs Fan: Miller Park is a shopping mall and isn't a real baseball mecca like Wrigley!
Me: I like Miller Park, Wrigley is a good time once a season as well, but you are forced to watch the Cubs so its kind of depressing to be around grown men crying all of the time!
Cubs Fan: How come you only start churping after the Brewers win?
Me: Gee, I really have no come back for that. Except because I can! SWEEEP SWEEP SWEEP

That's it? That's all you got!
Well, just for fun...I am assuming that you are referring to the Cubs as having been competitive this decade!
BARTMAN'S dang HAND.
GONZALEZ' ERROR SCREWED US!
DUSTY DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE A PITCHING STAFF!
SAMMY, KERRY, MARKY ALWAYS GET HURT! LoL!
Geez, teams GIVE you quality players for next to nothing like A. Ramirez! It because of sympathy not that you're competitive.
When a team's defacto motto for the past 100 years is "wait til next year", I am not sure how a young guy like you can remember far enough back to ever remember when your team was competetive.
"snicker" (Oh, who am I kidding!). That was a funny one Nick! (Laughing my booty off)!
P.S. I got censored on this board for the first time! Ronny Woooo Woooo!

Steve, For my reply, scroll down to Matt's first reply in this thread: cfcl.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=real&action=display&thread=1106758179Yes, this is the equivalent of "Yeah? Well your mother wears army boots," but that's what I'm reduced to when you insist on a reply and I don't really disagree with anything you've said! Actually, one small disagreement. I think Dusty Baker is the only person on earth who at any point considered the Cubs' bench anything other than the worst in the league. Hey, and while I'm here, whatever happened to you organizing a road trip to Miller Park? What, not so confident your Brewers will be able to deliver with the CFCL in attendance?

It would be my pleasure to arrange for a CFCL Field trip to a Major League baseball game at Miller Park. My fear is that either the Cubs or the Brewers will be playing in it and ruin the purpose of the trip!
Any way, I am happy to do it. I can try to get a few dates or if there is particular game people want to go to I can coordinate getting tickets. I am assuming after a 27,000 attendence on Wednesday afor the Cubs, tickets could be had for another Cub game.
I was originally going to offer to fund the trip, but I am not able to do that this season. The cost of a ticket is in the $15.00 to $30.00 range.
Who has interest?

You forgot the most likely #1 reason why none of us Cubs fans replied to your feeble attempt at a flame war. They just aren't a very likeable team. I hate their manager and a good portion of the players are whiny crybabies. The latter was always one of the many reasons why I hated the Yankees. It seems every game they're bi*ching at the umpires and getting tossed out of the game. I have tickets to 4 more games this year but if this continues, I'll toss them in the garbage or burn them or something.
Dusty must be very proud of this team. From Day 1, he has tried to institute an "us vs them" attitude with the team and God bless him, he succeeded. It's pretty much the only thing he has been able to accomplish during his tenure.
I'm confused Steve. Are you happy about the Brewers being above .500 for the first time in a long time? Or are you more happy that the Cubs suck? And I always thought you were a bigger person than that. It's a very small person indeed who relishes in the agony of others .... It's bad enough living on the South Side surrounded by Sox fans. Now I have to put up with your bleatings. Mahalo
Matt
PS. I'd be up for another game at Miller Park. I don't know what Cubs' fan you talked to, but I had a great time at both of the games I went to the last time we tried to get a CFCL outing up there.

I am working on an appropriate response but in the interim, it sounds like thier fans might be crybabies as well!
Need I remind anyone that last year at the All Star break the crew was well over .500, 7 games in fact! Then the biggest crash since 1929!
And yes I like the ieda of piling on when the Cubs are down!
