Here's a fun little stat that I heard on Cubs radio station WGN today. Moises Alou has been doubled off base six times this year on outfield outs. Six times! Certainly takes some of the shine off his 30+ HRs and 80+ RBIs.

The Picts certainly didn't pick him up for his baserunning.  You'd almost have to try to get plunked like that... Still, it's one of those things that gives Cubs fans ulcers. This team could be much better than it is. I listened to Martinez throw consecutive wild pitches this afternoon. My officemates probably thought I'd mashed my hand in a door or something. |
