NOTE: The Executive Committee has pretty much decided to stick with 17-man Reserve Rosters, but I thought I’d put this out there to see if it generates any discussion.
This is mainly to reduce the shock for new owners. It would also shorten Draft Day and theoretically stimulate free agent bidding and reduce teams' ability to "stash" talent on reserve that they have no intention of ever using.

I hate being this dang agreeable, but I kind of like this idea as well. I know I am going in the opposite direction of the EC but I think there are so few quality players worthy of FAAB dollars as it is, lowering this to 15, 14 or even 12 couldn't hurt.
I think it might make some sense to consider increasing FAAB by another .10 to .15 as well. Especially since I foolishly waste every penny every year on crappy guys who just plain suck. That would give me another few pennies to waste!

Nnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
I likes me the deep roster even if I chuck the same scrubs back into the pool year after year. Having a long list of potential stars makes me feel like I'm getting somewhere.

My first two cents worth. I'm with Nick and would have to vote no here. The biggest reason why for me is that I wouldn't be able to stockpile as many Minor League baubles as I do currently. I routinely devote half my reserve lists to these players so I'm constantly using most, if not all, my Major Leaguers on my reserve list. Going down to 12 would really hurt me here. 15 might not be as bad, but to me it'd still be like getting a paper cut in the corner of my mouth. I've tried going with fewer prospects, but I just can't help myself. If I have to decide between picking Josh Vitters and a possible All-Star 3B or the mainly useless Juan Castro, I think you know what my choice will be. Mahalo Matt

I *definitely* want to keep the full roster. I love the reserve draft, and no matter how many guys I have on my bench, I feel like I don't have enough. There are always halfway decent free agents somewhere - no need to artificially pump them up. If we reduce to 15 (from 17), those extra 24 players would probably be minor league prospects, not your potential holds champion.
