you hear is the steady, unabated drain of NL talent to the AL. *UGH* Just because you traded Kevin Stocker for Bobby Abreu, it doesn't mean that you have to get similar crap in return for him.
What the frick was Pat Gillick thinking? Quantity over quality? All you could get for a perennial 30/30 guy is a low A SS who strikes out way too much and a 27 y/o AAA reliever??? And he had to throw in a quality starter in Cory Lidle to boot. Is Gillick a closet Yankee fan or something? This deal is almost as bad as the Reds/Nationals deal ....

Agreed, Matt. I was stunned when I heard about this one. When I was talking to Kenn yesterday, he also compared it to the Reds/National deals, though he felt that the Abreu deal made the trade for Majewski/Bray look like a stroke of genius for the Reds, and I'd tend to agree.

Wow - and now Sean Casey to the Tigers for a minor league pitcher. Not that Casey's any great shakes, but another NLer gone to AL without major league talent coming back...
