Good morning folks, I wanna thank Steve for putting together a great evening last night. He proved to be a most capable host in the heart of dairyland. Though there was little trade talk due the lack of high placed teams, a good time was had by all. Especially those drunk dorks in the section next to us who tried to start the wave unsuccessfully thankfully. Another highlight of the evening was the running of the drunk around the bases and I'm not talking about those sausages. This drunken sot did make a nice move around a security guard to slap home plate, much like AJ. But the funniest thing to me was watching Eric make a left when he should have gone straight, then make a 3 point turn and drive past Steve, Dave and I while we tried to wave him down. Anyways, the Brew Crew won. I ate a well cooked brat and burger before the game. The brat courtesy of the tailgaters next to us. The brat was accompanied by some grilled baked beans too. They grilled them in the can which I thought was brilliant. Next time we should get more of us Illinoisians together because it was alot of fun and we missed out on a chance to fleece, er, trade with some of you contenders Bob/Teddy. ;D I guarantee that you'll have a blast or your money back ... Mahalo Matt

I have to second Matt's kudos to Steve -- despite the upper 90s heat (though it did seem a bit cooler up Milwaukee way, even huddled around Steve's blazing Weber in the parking lot), it was a delightful time. Steve not only drove the four of us up there, but then put on an excellent pre-game spread (including 5-pound burgers), and even let us listen to the Cubs put the finishing touches on a victory against the Cardinals.
Miller Park's a good place to watch a game, and in addition to Steve's usual excellent seats up behind 3B, we checked out the view from a few other locations and actually finished up in the bleachers, which is a fun place to be when Turnbow comes into the game.
It's too bad that Bob couldn't make it and work forced Teddy to miss the outing at the last minute - as much fun as the four of us had, it definitely would have been "the more the merrier." This is defintely something we'll have to plan on again -- maybe an Annual Trade Deadline Roadtrip?
Thanks again, Steve!
David
