Aloha y'all,
A while back, one of the BP writers wrote a couple articles about relievers throwing hidden no-hitters and perfect games. These were relievers who got 27 outs consecutively without giving up a baserunner or a hit over several dozen appearances. Thus the name, hidden perfect game.
One of my young hurlers has just pitched himself a shutout over 10 games. Jonathan Sanchez has been unscored on since getting called up at the end of May. He's walked 5 but only allowed 2 hits in those 9 innings pitched. He had a hidden no-hitter going until his appearance against Oakland after tossing 7 1/3 innings of no hit ball.
BTW, is anyone else sick of interleague play yet? It seems all my pitchers are getting crushed against their AL counterparts. I don't want to see what the overall damage is but the NL is just getting their butts whipped this year. I fully expect the White Sox to hang a half dozen runs on Ian Snell tonight. Pretty much the only guy I have doing well against the AL is Anibal Sanchez who shut out the Yankees over the weekend.
Well, take care dudes. Hope to hear from you guys soon. Plenty of good Hard Hats still available. With 6 teams within striking range of the leader Red Hots, one or two of my players could help push you over the top. Mahalo
Matt
