Hi boys!
First of all let me thank each of you for the kind e-mails jettisoned my way following the draft. Arranging for the Oak Brook accomodations is my pleasure. But the real "hazzahs" have to be directed to our League Secretary for making things run soooo smoothly and providing us with all the paperwork, as well as to Matt B. (Matt G - Matt B. is the one with more hair and doesn't verbally jump on you guys about your cards, etc.) Matt B. willingly allows me to pick him up at 6:15am every year and helps me set up and tear down the room (I do appreciate all your offers to help, but Matt and I have it running like a fine Swiss oiled machine. Actually, Matt has the schematics running with Swiss precision and I just wish I was well oiled by the end of the draft).
But to the point of this thread. When we changed categories a few years back and added strikeout/walk ratio, it was for the HITTERS, right? I only ask because I have Prince Fielder who, as I read and hear things, is an absolute STUD!!! Since he has eight at bats and seven strikeouts with no walks I have to assume that that is what he is trying for (and doing quite nicely, thank you). So it looks like the Rebels are going to make HUGE steps to the trophy and pocket money this year.
