The table has been set, the league has been invited. I will be taking your orders come Sunday evening. The Picts will be closing their front office this afternoon and tomorrow to celebrate one half dozen years of wedded bliss between their general manager and their promotions and press director. Come Sunday, however, we will be opening your email and responding to your offers.

We do add, and emphasize, the following caveat:
While certain players up for bid are in the final year of their contract and are likely to go for far higher salaries in next season's draft, we are not holding a fire sale. We expect quality, low-salaried players who will be making an impact next season in return for your rostering said players for the remainder of this season. We are perfectly willing to sit back in next season's auction and play the topper game--as evidenced by this past auction.

So, finally, we are not pulling anyone on the roster aside and saying you cannot touch them. It should be obvious, though, that there are a few players who hold value for the Picts next season. Asking for them is likely to cost you more than you are willing to give up. Still, we are willing to accept your overwhelming offers.
