Here's a brief synopsis of tonight's CFCL Banquet:
Paul, Eric, Matt G., David and Rich attended and partook of awesome Homerun Inn Pizza.
David handed out the awards starting with the standings. And as is tradition he handed out last place first (and going up to first place) so the Rebels received the first award - to which I cheerfully pointed out "It's the only time I've been in first all season."
As has also been the tradition, after the awards David handed out Topps Baseball Cards where we reveled in the career statistics (thru 1992) of such stalwarts as Randy Ready, Rafael Belliard, Charlie Hayes and Jerry Browne. Although there were a few more recognizable names, it's always fun to see a baseball card of a guy and say "Who?"
Towards the end of the evening we talked about a couple of issues that had been raised throughout the season. I will post them seperately and encourage comments.
For those of you that finished in the money, I will be getting checks in the mail in the near future.
