It was a good day to be a Sanchez rookie starting pitcher today. First Jonathan threw 5 2/3 innings of 1 run ball. Then Anibal topped him by tossing the majors first no-hitter since May 2004. Woo hoo!! It'd been weeks since I had a decent start by one of my pitchers. Think I have like 2 saves since the trading deadline too. *ugh* I was shocked to look at the standings and see I fell behind the Lambchops. Well, at least I have something to celebrate tonight ... Mahalo Matt PS. Woo hoo!!! I'm back in 10th place baby! I just crunched the numbers and I jumped over Eric in WHIP and Dave passed him up in RBIs. Yay PPS. d*mn Yankees. Now their starter is threatening to throw his own no hitter. I hate those guys .... PPPS. Well, Dusty did it again. He left Rich Hill in one inning too long so naturally he gives up a couple of runs and the Cubs are going to lose yet another game to the pathetic Pirates. God, I hate Baker. Though it is great to see Rich toss another great game, 6 QS in his last 7 starts.

Glad you had a good day pitching, Matt. I haven't had a good pitching day in . . . can't remember.
My condolences on you losing your Minor League status on Milledge and Drew. Kind of sucks, I had the same thing with Hart earlier this year. And I'm something like 5 IP away from Bray losing ML status.

Good morning, It happened to me last year with Brian McCann and now I have to X him next year already. It just doesn't seem right. I think we should raise the limit to 500 ABs. BTW, Lastings hasn't quite made it to 150 yet. He's at 138 and counting. Once the Mets Mets Mets traded for Green, his playing time dropped dramatically. Too little, too late for me to keep his rookie status though. I'm expecting Milledge to start some games after New York clinches home field advantage for the playoffs. It'll only take 4 starts. *sigh* On to my next topic, nice job on the report this week Dave. That church sign was hilarious (sorry Rich). If you really want to give away that book, just add in the -6.0 points I was down a couple days ago when I fell behind the Chops. As bad as my pitching has been lately, my offense has been impressive the last month or so. I finally caught up to Paul and Steve which is great since they were ahead of me in the standings. This battle royal between us will probably go down to the wire, should be interesting. Maybe even Eric/Paul can jump in the fray too ... Mahalo Matt

Hey Matt - just a note to point out that you've got the rookie eligibility limits wrong. It's 130 AB for hitters and 50 IP for pitchers, so Lastings lost his M eligibilty a week or two ago.

DOH! Now I'm even more sure that we need to raise the AB limit to 500. Ah well, luckily Steven Drew didn't do much last week so I didn't lose much there by not activating him on the 1st. You know one of these years I'm going to actually learn what's in the Constitution. Maybe somewhere around 2012 ... Mahalo Matt PS. I got lots of great scouting reports on those Little League kids which will come in handy in '12.
