Honorable Mention (coming off the DL in the last week): Victor Santos
It doesn't quite make a legal roster, but if'n I'm going to have 9 players simultaneously on the DL in a year where I just may have contended for a money finish then I think I have earned just a bit of poetic license when illustrating the point. In the "Salt meet Wound, Wound this is Salt" category, all but Randy Wolf have dropped since the "go for the gusto" trade for Andruw Jones.
and, yes, I realize I am not the only person to contend with DL issues and that Santos, Tomko, et al are hardly big name stars and that many others are replacements for my replacements, but everyone has some role and they were all turning in profitable seasons from a VORP standpoint--unlike many of their replacements. I'm going to whinge publicly this one time and then let this thread die peacefully.
