No, I'm not referring to the Cubs winning two games in a row...
At long, long last the CFCL Team and Owner Profiles are ready for their World Wide Web premiere.
The profiles are now online, accessible from the main CFCL page either from the Clubhouse link at the top of the page or the Clubhouse box in the left sidebar menu (which provide links directly to specific team pages).
I apologize to the league as a whole (and to Rich in particular) for the delay in getting them posted -- I hope they prove to be worth the wait. Rich has been dying to get these posted, and the hold-up has been strictly on my end. Nearly everyone got their info to Rich promptly (Nearly. We're still waiting for one...), and Rich passed the information to me, then I took my sweet time getting them posted. They're all there now, so dig in.
A few notes about the profiles:
- The top of each profile page includes a navigation bar with links to the other teams, listing the teams in the order in which they joined the CFCL.
- At the moment, only the Rebels have a team logo on their page. I understand that logos are underway for at least three other teams, and those will be posted when they're ready. If you cook something up logo-wise, send it on to me and I'll add it to your page.
- You'll notice that there are links to outside web pages for many of the ballplayers, musicians, films, etc. mentioned in the profiles. I used pretty standard resources for the links, but if you'd like to provide alternate URLs, feel free to send them to me. I do want to keep the pictures that appear on some of the pages fairly family-friendly and work-safe though.
- Finally, a couple tips of the cap -- one to Rich for starting this whole ball rolling and compiling all the information, getting nearly 100% participation; and another to the owners and webmaster of the Luis Gomez Memorial League, who inspired Rich to undertake this endeavor a few months ago.
