Does a player become eligible at the CI or MI spots if they have five games combined at the two positions?
Example: Say I'm just DYING to get Vizcaino into my CI spot.......hypothetically speaking of course. He's played one game at 1B and one at 3B. Do I have to wait for him to play 5 games at either position or can I put him at CI when he has five games combined?
Thanks.

Bob, CI isn't a distinct position that a player qualifies for as you describe. It must be someone who qualifies at 3B or 1B separately (or both). But he must qualify at at least one of those spots in order to go at CI.
